Vegan Cheese Sauce
Ingredients
175 g cashews - soak in cold water for 5 hours, or boiling water for 10 min
120 ml water
3 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 tiny onion, roughly chopped
1 clove garlic
3 tbsp coconut cream from a can of coconut milk
2 tbsp nutritional yeast
2 tbsp chopped bell pepper (pref yellow)
Recipe
Soak the cashews as described to soften them
Blend the nuts until they're clumping together too much to blend further.
Add water, lemon juice, the onion and garlic. Blend until smooth.
Add remaining ingredients: coconut, yeast and bell pepper. Blend until once more smooth.
